A New Forest Pathogen on in Subtropical China: Rigidoporus lineatus (Pers.: Fr.) Ryvarden

Abstract: A new pathogen of trees in subtropical China, Rigidoporus lineatus, is reported. It mainly attacks Robinia and Paulownia, and possiblely lives on other tree species of angiosperm. It causes a white rot of root and butt. Its illustrated description is given in detail according to study on the material from China. The differences between it and related species are discussed. The symptom, damage and distribution of the disease are supplied.
